Salomeh Ghorban

Salomeh Ghorban joined Ballet Afsaneh in 2006. Her passion for learning about different cultures though dance has taken her to Salvador, Bahia, Brazil and throughout Puerto Rico. Her studies and performances of Afro-Brazilian dance were under Mestre Carlos Aceituno and she studied and performed Bomba with Maria-Elena Garcia. Being a first generation Iranian born in the United States, Salomeh always wanted to study dance from Iran and its’ surrounding regions and her enthusiasm is expressed through her movement. She hopes that through her studies of cultural dance, the traditions and stories of those cultures will live on for the generations to come.
